ST. LOUIS (Ticker) -- After Monday's game between the Milwaukee
Brewers and St. Louis Cardinals was postponed due to rain, the
teams will begin their series Tuesday.

The Cardinals have won four straight games and nine of 10. In
completing a three-game sweep of Houston on Sunday, St. Louis
got a two-run homer from Albert Pujols and three hits apiece
from Mark Grudzielanek and David Eckstein in an 8-5 triumph.

St. Louis sends righthander Jeff Suppan (1-2, 3.38) to the
mound. Following a poor season debut against Philadelphia on
April 9, Suppan has allowed just two earned runs in 14 2/3
innings over his last two starts.

Brewers lefthander Doug Davis (2-2, 4.76 ERA) is looking to snap
a personal two-game losing streak. In his last outing on
Thursday against Houston, Davis surrendered six runs, five hits
and four walks in 5 1/3 innings in an 8-7 loss.

Milwaukee enters the series after taking two of three from the
San Francisco Giants. In Sunday's rubber game, Carlos Lee hit a
pair of two-run homers and Geoff Jenkins added three hits in an
8-5 victory.

St. Louis won all three games against Milwaukee last week,
outscoring the Brewers, 10-5.
