Portland (26-54) at Denver (48-33) 9:00 pm EDT

DENVER (Ticker) -- The Denver Nuggets hope to avoid a
three-game losing streak entering the playoffs when they host
the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday.

The Nuggets have clinched the seventh seed in the Western
Conference and will face second-seeded San Antonio in the first
round. The teams split their four regular-season games.

Denver is an impressive 24-4 since the All-Star break but has
lost back-to-back games after a 10-game winning streak,
including a 128-114 setback at Phoenix on Monday.

Carmelo Anthony scored a season-high 36 points for the Nuggets,
who fell behind after one quarter, 44-25. Three of Denver's
four losses after the break were to the Suns.

Portland snapped a three-game skid with a 100-82 home triumph
over Utah on Sunday.

Ruben Patterson scored 23 points and Damon Stoudamire added 18
and 12 assists for the Trail Blazers, who had lost 23 of their
previous 26 games.

Denver has won two of the first three meetings, including a
111-98 victory here on March 7.
