Hanson leads Spanish Open

SAN ROQUE, Spain -- Sweden's Peter Hanson shot a 1-under 71
on Saturday to take a two-stroke lead over South Africa's Hennie
Otto in the Spanish Open.

Hanson, who three-putted four greens in the third round, had a
7-under 209 total on the San Roque Club course.

"That's disappointing. Putting became very hard toward the end
because the greens became very quick," said Hanson, seeking his
first European tour title. "I came in here not putting very well
and that's the only thing worrying me about tomorrow."

Otto birdied two of the last four holes for a 69.

"I have played well and whenever I missed, I missed on the
right side," he said.

Scotland's Paul Lawrie, the 1999 British Open champion, was four
strokes back along with Spain's Jose Manual Lara. Lawrie shot a 69,
and Lara had a 68.
