Cincinnati Reds Team Report

Cincinnati broadcaster Marty Brennaman will be inducted into the
National Sportscasters and Sports Writers Association's Hall of
Fame on May 2 in Salisbury, N.C. ... Ken Griffey Jr. entered
Friday's game with 501 career home runs. Should he hit 21 home
runs this year, Griffey would pass six players (Eddie Murray,
Mel Ott, Eddie Matthews, Ernie Banks, Ted Williams and Willie
McCovey). Next in sight for Griffey is Murray (504). ...
Griffey has hit six career home runs off Roger Clemens, the most
he has hit off of any pitcher in his career except for David
Wells (8). ... The Reds won only four of 17 games from Houston
at Minute Maid Park over the past two seasons.
