HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. -- Cape Hope won by three-quarters of a length in the $100,000 Herecomesthebride Stakes at Gulfstream Park on Saturday. The favored horse is unbeaten on the grass. Dynamite Lass finished second and Dansetta Light was third in the field of eight 3-year-old fillies running a mile and an eighth. Ridden by Jose Santos, Cape Hope was timed in 1:48 1/5 and paid $5 to win. Her earnings total $135,690. Cape Horn took the lead from longshot Royal Bean nearing the eighth pole and held off Dynamite Lass in the final 50 yards.
