OAKLAND, California - Ron Stone will be wearing the
Silver and Black for at least another season.
The Oakland Raiders have re-signed Stone, a free agent guard,
the team announced on Thursday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 6-5, 325-pound Stone signed with the Raiders prior to last
season but started just five games while battling numerous
injuries.
"We're pleased to have Ron Stone back on our football team,"
Raiders coach Norv Turner said.
A 12-year veteran, Stone has played in 157 games - 126 starts -
with the Dallas Cowboys (1993-95), New York Giants (1996-2001),
San Francisco 49ers (2002-03) and the Raiders. The three-time
Pro Bowler was a member of Dallas' Super Bowl XXX championship
team and played in Super Bowl XXXV with the Giants.
