SMU 80, Boise State 62

BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- Bryan Hopkins scored 28 points and Devon
Pearson added 21 points and a career-high 13 rebounds as Southern
Methodist ended a four-game road losing streak by beating Boise
State 80-62 Friday night.

Hopkins scored 14 points in the first half and the Mustangs
(13-11, 8-7 Western Athletic Conference) forced 12 turnovers to
take a 40-33 lead at halftime. SMU was never threatened in the
second half, shooting 62 percent from the field in the final 20
minutes.

Patrick Simpson scored 13 points and added eight rebounds for
the Mustangs while Jermaine Blackburn led Boise State (12-16, 5-11)
with 16 points. Coby Karl scored 13 points for the Broncos, Jason
Ellis had 11 and Franco Harris added 10.
