AMSTERDAM, Feb 25 - Ajax Amsterdam manager Ronald
Koeman will step down from his post, Dutch NOS Teletext reported
on Friday.
The club could not immediately be reached for comment.
Koeman's reported departure comes after Ajax were knocked
out of the UEFA Cup on Thursday after a 3-1 loss by AJ Auxerre.
The Dutch champions are struggling in third place in the
first division, eight points behind leaders PSV Eindhoven.
Pressure has been mounting on Koeman, in his second spell as
Ajax coach, after he clashed with technical director Louis van
Gaal following Champions League defeats by Juventus and Bayern
Munich.
Van Gaal resigned last October.
