Georgia St 80, Fla Atlantic 76

BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) -- Herman Favors scored 19 of his 21 points
in the second half to lead Georgia State to a 80-76 win over
Florida Atlantic on Thursday night.

Favors scored all of his points off the bench as Georgia State
(13-12, 10-7 Atlantic Sun Conference) never trailed after the
opening minute of the game.

Boyd Copeland scored all 18 of his points in the first half for
the Panthers while Kevin Thomas added 16 and Marcus Brown finished
with 13.

Florida Atlantic (9-15, 9-8) had a cold night shooting, hitting
just 37.8 percent of its shots from the field.

Mike Bell led the Owls with 22 points while Kahleaf Watson added
12 points and Pierre Tucker scored 10, all in the first half.

Robert Williams had nine rebounds to become FAU's all-time
leading rebounder. He pushed his career total to 560, moving ahead
of Damon Arnette's record of 551 set in 1998-99.
