Clubs release Huselius and Tallinder

STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- Three Swedish NHL players were suspended for the remainder of the season by their clubs
on Monday, two days after being banned from the national team following a police investigation.
Kristian Huselius of the Florida Panthers, the top scorer in the
Swedish Elite League with Linkoping during the NHL lockout, and
teammate Henrik Tallinder of the Buffalo Sabres were released after
a club board meeting.
Andreas Lilja of the Nashville Predators was suspended for the
rest of the season but not released by his Swedish club, Mora.
The decision was expected after the three players were suspended
by the Swedish Ice Hockey Association on Saturday for the remainder
of the season, including participation in the world championships
in Austria.

Police released the three players after questioning last
Thursday, hours before Sweden played the Czech Republic, and
officials said Friday they didn't have enough evidence to issue any charges.
