Denver (23-27) at New Jersey (21-29) 6:00 pm EST

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) -- Kenyon Martin returns
to New Jersey as his Denver Nuggets continue a long road trip
with a game against the Nets on Sunday.

Martin starred for four seasons with New Jersey before signing
with Denver in the offseason and will be playing his first game
as an opponent at Continental Airlines Arena.

He is part of a Nuggets team making a strong push since George
Karl took over as coach in late January.

Denver is 1-1 thus far on its current five-game road trip after
a 106-101 win at Cleveland on Friday.

Earl Boykins scored 20 points and had eight assists as the
Nuggets improved to 6-2 under Karl. Martin added 19 points and
eight rebounds and has a scoring average of 19.3 since Karl came
aboard.

The Nets opened a five-game homestand with a pair of impressive
wins over the Detroit Pistons and Philadelphia 76ers, but have
suffered two setbacks since.

Vince Carter had a memorable outing Friday in a 101-91 loss to
the San Antonio Spurs. Continuing a recent hot stretch, Carter
carried the Nets with 43 points but was ejected with 9:45 left.

New Jersey's lead of 16 points had been cut to six early in the
fourth quarter when Carter was ejected after picking up his
second technical foul for arguing with Spurs forward Bruce
Bowen.

Despite just playing just 37 minutes Friday, Carter reached the
40-point mark for the third time in his last four games and is
averaging 38.5 on the homestand.

Martin scored 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in Denver's
90-88 win over the Nets on November 23.

That win snapped the Nuggets' five-game losing streak in the
series.
