Heat activates Allen from injured list

MIAMI -- Forward Malik Allen, who missed nearly three months
after back surgery, was activated Friday by the Miami Heat.

Allen, one of Miami's key big-man reserves, averaged 7.1 points
and 4.3 rebounds in 10 games before surgery to relieve back spasms.
He was expected to be in uniform for the Heat's game in Charlotte
on Friday.

The Heat cleared Allen's spot by placing rookie Dorell Wright
back on the injured list with knee tendinitis. Wright, who's been
out for much of the season with an abdominal strain, has played in
one game for Miami.
