Louisiana-Lafayette 67, South Alabama 45

LAFAYETTE, La. -- Tiras Wade scored 22 points, including
four 3-pointers, to help Louisiana-Lafayette defeat South Alabama
67-45 on Thursday night.

Louisiana-Lafayette (14-8, 8-2 Sun Belt) trailed 23-21 at
halftime, but roared ahead and cruised to the finish by shooting 55
percent (16-of-29) in the second half. the Cajuns also were
10-of-14 from the foul line over the last 20 minutes.

Brian Hamilton added 16 points for the Ragin' Cajuns, including
7-of-8 from the field, while Chris Cameron scored 11.

Mario Jointer led South Alabama with 13 points but shot only
3-of-10 from the field. The whole team struggled with shooting
accuracy, finishing at 31.6 percent (12-of-38) for the game.

Louisiana-Lafayette also finished with a 30-22 advantage in
rebounds.

South Alabama coach John Pelphrey received two technical fouls
and was ejected from the game with just under two minutes to go in
the second half.
