St. Francis, N.Y. 77, Long Island U. 68

NEW YORK -- Allan Sheppard scored 15 of his 24 points in the
second half to help St. Francis of New York snap a four-game losing
streak with a 77-68 victory over Long Island University on Thursday
night.

Christian Brown added with 21 points for the Terriers (9-11, 5-6
Northeast). James Williams led the Blackbirds (9-13, 6-7) with 17
points, and Randy Jones had 16.

Derek Bell's layup gave the Blackbirds a 61-53 lead with 7:27
left, but the Terriers used a 16-2 run to make it 69-63 with 2:12
to go. Sheppard had nine points during the game-winning spree.
