Soccer-Injured Terry withdraws from England squad

LONDON, Feb 7 - Chelsea defenders John Terry and
Wayne Bridge have pulled out of the England squad for
Wednesday's friendly against the Netherlands.

With Arsenal's Sol Campbell and Manchester United's Rio
Ferdinand already out injured, the in-form Terry was an almost
certain starter against the Dutch.

The official FA website said on Monday that he was injured
during Chelsea's 0-0 draw at home to Manchester City on Sunday.

Coach Sven-Goran Eriksson has called up Manchester United's
Phil Neville as defensive cover. His United team mate Wes Brown
was also called up on Sunday after Birmingham City defender
Matthew Upson hurt a hamstring.

Eriksson's central defensive options could be further hit
with Tottenham Hotspur's Ledley King also struggling with a
slight injury. He will be assessed by England's medical staff on
Monday.
