Angels agree to terms with three players

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- The Angels have agreed to terms of
one-year contracts with infielder-outfielder Robb Quinlan and
pitchers Matt Hensley and Joe Saunders.

The 28-year-old Quinlan hit .344 with five homers and 23 RBIss in
66 games with the Angels last season. He had a 21-game hitting
streak between July 7 and Aug. 10 -- fifth-longest in franchise
history. He didn't play after tearing his left oblique muscle
during batting practice Aug. 17.

Quinlan also played in 27 games for Triple-A Salt Lake, hitting
.296 with two homers and 17 RBIss.

Hensley, a 26-year-old right-hander, was 0-2 with a 4.88 ERA in
16 games for the Angels and 1-3 with a 2.93 ERA and five saves in
30 games with Salt Lake.

Saunders, a 23-year-old left-hander, was 9-7 with a 3.41 ERA in
19 starts for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga and 4-3 with a 5.77 ERA in
eight starts for Double-A Arkansas.
