SINGAPORE -- Nick Dougherty shot a 67 Friday to take a
one-stroke lead over defending champion Colin Montgomerie at the
Caltex Masters in Singapore.
Dougherty, who started his round on No. 10, birdied four
straight after the turn and eagled the par-5 seventh. He shot a 68
in the first round and is at nine-under 135.
Montgomerie led after a 65 in the first round, but had trouble
with his approach shots and ended at eight-under with a round of
71.
Denmark's Thomas Bjorn followed Montgomerie at six-under, along
with Liang Wenchong, Jamie Donaldson, and Danny Chia.
