Webber sits with ankle injury

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Chris Webber missed the Sacramento Kings' game
against New Jersey on Tuesday night due to a right ankle injury.

Darius Songaila started in place of Webber, who played just 13 minutes in
the Kings' 103-73 loss to San Antonio on Sunday night because of the injury.
Webber, Sacramento's leading scorer and rebounder, landed awkwardly while
shooting a jumper in the second quarter, though he returned to the game
briefly.

The oft-injured forward has missed just four games this season. He sat out
three earlier games to rest his left knee, which was repaired by major surgery
in 2003.

Webber has averaged 21.5 points, 9.6 rebounds and 4.9 assists this season.

The Kings also faced the Nets without backup forward Maurice Evans, who went
on the injured list earlier Tuesday with a strained groin. Sacramento also
activated rookie forward Erik Daniels.
