LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Kendra Wecker had 18 points and 11
rebounds and Kansas State beat intrastate rival Kansas for the
seventh straight time. Laurie Koehn added 17 points, including 3-of-5 from 3-point
range, for the Wildcats (10-3, 1-1 Big 12). Kaylee Brown led Kansas (7-6, 0-2) with 13 points and Crystal
Kemp had 10 points and 11 rebounds. Tied at 26 at halftime, the Wildcats used a 13-0 run over 8
minutes in the second half to put the game out of reach. Kansas
scored only three field goals in the final 7 minutes.< ^END
