BISMARCK, N.D. -- A junior from Mayville State and a senior
from the University of Mary are this week's DAC 10 basketball
players of the week.
Alexandros Anthis had 49 points, 12 rebounds, six assists and
two steals for the Mayville state Comets in a pair of men's
basketball conference victories. The 6-foot-4 junior from Athens,
Greece shot 57 percent from the floor and hit eight of 10 free
throws in the wins over Mary and Jamestown College.
Mary's Natalie Brunner scored 41 points and added eight
rebounds, five assists and four steals for the fourth-ranked
Marauders to capture the conference women's player of the week
honors. The 5-7 Brunner, of Bismarck, had 23 points to lead Mary
over Mayville, and 18 points in a victory over Valley City State.
