Siena 79, Youngstown State 78 (4OT)

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) -- Tay Fisher made three of his five
3-pointers in the fourth overtime, including one with eight seconds
remaining to give Siena a 79-78 win over Youngstown State on
Tuesday night.

Fisher went 5-for-12 from 3-point range and scored 15 points.
Tommy Mitchell came off the bench to lead the Saints (2-7) with 17
points, Jack McClinton added 14 and Antoine Jordan had 12.

Derrick Harris led the Penguins (2-5) with 22 points. Brian
Radakovich and Zach Silverman each had 13 points and Quin Humphrey
scored 10.

Fisher opened the fourth overtime with a 3-pointer and made
another with 1:56 to play, giving the Saints a 76-74 lead.

Harris hit a jumper with 1:21 remaining to tie it and Youngstown
State took a 78-76 lead on Khari McQueen's jumper with 18 seconds
left.

After Fisher's 3-pointer put Siena ahead, Jon Mends missed a
jumper for Youngstown State with two seconds left and McClinton got
the rebound for the Saints as time expired.

The game fell three overtimes short of the NCAA record set on
Dec. 21, 1981, when Cincinnati defeated Bradley 75-73 in seven OTs.

Both teams struggled offensively and had long stretches without
baskets in the overtime periods. Siena shot just 36.5 percent and
Youngstown State finished 35.6 percent from the field.

The teams combined for only eight points in the first overtime
and 12 points in the third OT.

Mends scored the last basket of the third overtime with 1:06
left, a jumper that pulled Youngstown State into a 70-70 tie.

Siena forced the third OT by scoring the last five points of the
second overtime on Fisher's 3 with 1:06 left and Mitchell's two
free throws that made it 64-all with 24 seconds to play.

Radakovich sent the game to overtime tied at 50 by making one of
two free throws for Youngstown State with 18 seconds left in
regulation.

Siena got the last basket of the first OT with 45 seconds left,
a jumper by Jordan that made it 54-all.
