Washington Redskins Team Report

2003 Record: 5-11, 3rd NFC East

2004 Record: 1-1

Coach: Joe Gibbs (1st year)

Schedule: Sun, Sep. 12 vs. W Tampa Bay, 16-10
Sun, Sep. 19 at L at NY Giants, 20-14
Mon, Sep. 27 vs. Dallas

Notes: Joe Gibbs probably would have preferred to skip a
trip to Giants Stadium in his return to the NFL. The
Redskins committed seven turnovers - four interceptions
and three fumbles - in the 20-14 loss to New York. They
last had that many turnovers under Gibbs on December 7,
1986 - a 24-14 loss to the Giants at RFK Stadium. ...
QB Mark Brunell left in the third quarter with a
hamstring injury. He threw an interception and
fumbled. Patrick Ramsey replaced Brunell and was picked
off three times. ... WE Laveranues Coles had nine
catches for 100 yards in the loss to the Giants.
