DAKOTA DUNES, S.D. -- Bobby West of Watertown shot a
one-over-par 71 on Friday to lead the state men's stroke play golf
tournament.
Back one shot at 72 are Charlie Jacobson, also of Watertown, and
Chris Knight, of Aberdeen.
Defending champion Ryan Jansa of Sioux Falls and three other
golfers were tied at 73. Also carding an opening-round 73 were Adam
Wynia and Brian Prisbe, both of Sioux Falls, and James Green of
Madison.
Other past champions entered in the 54-hole tourney are Pat
Lockwood of Brookings at 75 and Travis Stockholm of Springfield at
79.
The tournament wraps up Sunday.
