PAULS VALLEY, Okla. -- Jury selection is scheduled to begin
Monday in the trial of a Davis man accused of shooting two
University of Oklahoma football players at a party last summer.
Napoleon Lewis III, 24, faces two felony counts of shooting with
intent to kill.
Four Oklahoma players are expected to testify at the trial:
linebacker Wayne Chambers, wide receiver Ataleo Ford, defensive
back Eric Bassey and running back Tashard Choice.
Chambers and Ford were wounded by gunfire at the July 13, 2003,
party at a Veterans of Foreign Wars building near Pauls Valley.
Chambers was struck in the hip and Ford was hit in the left leg by
a bullet that ricocheted off the floor. A third shot struck a wall.
Bassey and Choice were also at the party.
