TUNIS, May 6 - Details of the eight venues
proposed by Tunisia in their bid to host the 2010 World Cup
finals:
Beja: The Olympic stadium has a capacity of 20,000 and is
just over 100km north of the capital Tunis.

Bizerte: The reconstructed October 15 stadium was used at
the recent African Nations Cup finals and has a capacity of
20,000.

Kairouan: The Hamouda Laaouini stadium is based in the
religious capital of the country and has a capacity of 20,000.

Monastir: The Ben Jannet stadium was reconstructed for this
year's Nations Cup finals and has a capacity of 20,000.

Rades: The 60,000-capacity November 15 stadium was built for
the 2001 Mediterranean Games and used to host the final of the
2004 Nations Cup.

Sfax: The Taieb Mhiri stadium is poised for a second
renovation in as many years to take its capacity from 22,000 to
43,500.

Sousse: The Olympic stadium, home to last year's African Cup
Winners' Cup victors Etoile Sahel, was recently renovated and
now has a capacity of 43,500.

Tunis: A roof is planned in a major renovation of the
45,000-capacity El Menzah stadium if Tunisia win the right to
host the 2010 World Cup.
