Cotner, through 11 holes, leads at 12 under

FORT SMITH, Ark. -- The first three days of the Rheem Classic have seen as much golf played as there have been delays.

Overnight thunderstorms dropped almost 2 inches of rain on the
Hardscrabble Country Club course and forced a 6-hour delay to the start of play Saturday. As a result, only 18 players in the field of 64 were able to finish round three.

When play was halted for darkness, Keoke Cotner was the leader
at 12-under par through 11 holes. Second-round leader Franklin
Langham is one shot back in the same group.

Arkansas senior Andrew Dahl moved into the top 10 by shooting
3-under par through 17 holes to improve to 6-under for the
tournament. The amateur is tied for 10th, two shots ahead of Bryce
Molder, who is 4-under through the 12th hole.

Arkansas State grad Brian McCann was one of the few who
finished, shooting a 1-over 71 to put him 1-under for the
tournament and tied for 39th.

Shane Bertsch had the day's best round going and was 6-under
through 17 holes and 9-under for the tournament. Charlie Hoffman
and Justin Bolli are 8-under par and on the back nine.

Jason Caron, Rafael Gomez, Jeff Hart and Kelly Sellers are at
7-under par with six to eight holes left. The leader in the
clubhouse is Ahmad Bateman (66), who stands at 6-under 204.

The third round will resume at 7:45 a.m. Sunday with the final
round slated to begin approximately at 10:30 a.m.

Langham, who began the day with a two-stroke lead after a
9-under 61 in Friday's second round never got into a good rhythm
and carded a one-over-par 36 on the front nine. He turned the front
nine in 28 strokes a day earlier.

"I didn't play too well. I started out being conservative,"
Langham said. "I needed to decide if I was going to play to lose
or play to win. I got off to a slow start and missed some clubs and
had some long putts to start."

Langham had two bogeys and one birdie in 11 holes to fall one
back of Cotner, who had four birdies and two bogeys.

Cotner, Langham and Sellers all decided to putt out on the
par-5, 11th hole after the horns had sounded, signaling the end of
play. All three missed birdie putts inside five feet.
