Malone sprains ankle; George hurt, too

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Karl Malone left the Los Angeles Lakers'

Malone was injured with less than a minute left in the first
half when he came down hard on the ankle. The Lakers said he would
not return.

The extent of the injury was not known. Malone had four points
when he was hurt.

Lakers forward Devean George left the game with a left calf
