Oklahoma City 81, Columbia, Mo. 48

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Eric Tatum scored 24 points and Oklahoma
City upset and overpowered Columbia 81-48 in the first round of the
NAIA men's tournament.

The Stars (19-11) used an early 18-4 run to build an 18-point
first-half lead against the seventh-seeded Cougars. Columbia (32-4)
shot only 22 percent in the first half and 33 percent for the game.

Oklahoma City shot 57 percent as it extended its lead in the
second half. Emigijus Lukosis had 14 points for the Stars, Jamaal
Haymon scored 11 and Herman Burge and Shervon Ceromain each added
10.

Nahowan Saxon scored 16 points off the bench for Columbia, which
had set a new school record for wins in a season. Andre Amos also
scored 10 for the Cougars.
