Chiefs safety Jerome Woods signs six-year deal

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Safety Jerome Woods has agreed to a
six-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs

Woods, who missed the entire 2002 season with a broken leg, was
a defensive leader for the Chiefs last year during their 13-3
regular season and made the Pro Bowl for the first time.

Terms of the contract were not announced.

A first-round draft pick in 1996, Woods was one of only six NFL
players to return two interceptions for touchdowns in 2003.
