Arizona State 65, Oregon 40

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- Kylan Loney scored five of her 14 points
during a decisive 12-2 run and Kristen Kovesdy finished with 11
points as Arizona State beat Oregon 65-40 Thursday night.

The Sun Devils (16-8, 10-5 Pac-10) held the Ducks to their
lowest offensive output of the season. Oregon lost to Washington
95-50 on Jan. 15.

It was also the best defensive performance of the season for
Arizona State, who beat California 62-43 on Feb. 5.

Oregon (12-13, 4-11) shot 35 percent from the field (16 of 46)
and were outrebounded 40-26 in losing for the fourth time in its
last five games.

Despite 20 turnovers, Arizona State broke its two-game losing
streak that followed winning five in a row.

After trailing 29-21 at halftime, Oregon cut the lead to 34-32
with 12 minutes left before the Sun Devils ran off eight straight
points in the 12-2 spurt paced by Loney and coasted from there.

Brandi Davis scored nine points and Eleanor Haring and Kedzie
Gunderson each had eight points for Oregon.
