St. Peter's 103, Canisius 89

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Keydren Clark scored 33 points and Saint
Peter's achieved their highest point total in five years in
defeating Canisius 103-89 Thursday night.

Clark, who entered the game as the nation's second-leading
scorer, added eight assists for the Peacocks (15-9).

Jamie Sowers had 21 points and Shane Nichols added 20 as Saint
Peter's snapped a two-game losing streak.

After being down by 13, the Golden Griffins took the lead 58-56
after a 15-0 run that was capped by Richard Jones' 3-pointer with
13:15 left. Saint Peter's gained control of the game later in the
second half with a 17-8 run that gave them an 87-77 lead with a
little more than four minutes to go.

Yaku Moton-Spruill led Canisius (9-17) with 18 points. Toby
Foster had 16 points, while Kevin Downey and Richard Jones added 14
each for the Golden Griffins, who dropped their second straight.

It was the first time the Peacocks scored over 100 points since
the 1998-99 season when they beat Niagara in double overtime
106-103.
