UC Riverside (8-12) at No. 25 Utah St (20-2) 10:00 pm EST

LOGAN, Utah (Ticker) -- No. 25 Utah State seeks to start a new
streak on Thursday when it hosts California-Riverside in a Big
West Conference matchup.

Utah State (20-2, 12-1 Big East) had a 17-game winning streak
snapped in Saturday's 64-60 loss at Pacific. The Aggies were
held scoreless for the final 3:40 and fell into a first-place
tie with the Tigers.

"The best thing we can do is move forward, that's the best thing
we can do and that's what we stressed," Utah State coach Stew
Morrill said. "After the game I was agitated, like you always
are when you lose. In my mind we let one slip away down the
stretch and we've been so good down the stretch."

Forward Cardell Butler scored 14 points, but missed his final
four shots. Butler leads the team with a 13.4 scoring average.

The Aggies are 21-5 over the last five seasons following a loss.
They are 13-0 at home this season with two games left.

UC Riverside (8-12, 5-7) won its second straight with Saturday's
72-54 victory over UC Irvine. Ricky Porter scored 15 points
and Nate Carter added 14 and 12 rebounds for the Highlanders.

Utah State posted a 62-58 victory at UC Riverside in the first
meeting on January 24. Nate Harris scored 25 points to lead the
Aggies and Carter netted 16 for the Highlanders.
