PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- Tanisha Wright had 14 points and
Kelly Mazzante added 13 as No. 6 Penn State dominated Saint
Joseph's, 80-44. The Lady Lions shot 52 percent from the field in the first half
and led by 12 points at halftime. Overall, the club finished
with 54 percent shooting en route to their ninth straight win. Wright shot 6-of-9 from the field and handed out eight assists
for Penn State (16-3), which outrebounded the Hawks by a 43-25
margin. Mazzante finished just 1-of-7 from behind the 3-point arc, but
blocked a pair of shots and collected two steals. Jess Strom added 11 points, five assists and four steals for the
Lady Lions, who limited Saint Joseph's to just 18 points in the
second half. Erin Brady had 14 points on 6-of-13 shooting for the Hawks
(11-6), who have lost their last two contests.
