Wannstedt mum on QB choice

DAVIE, Fla. -- Dolphins coach Dave Wannstedt has decided on
a starting quarterback for Sunday's game against Washington, but he
won't say if it's Brian Griese or Jay Fiedler.

"There's no reason to talk about it," Wannstedt said Friday.
"Why make a public decision if you don't have to?"

Fiedler, who rejoined team drills this week, has been sidelined
since spraining his left knee Oct. 19. The Dolphins are 2-2 with
Griese as the starter.

Last week, when Miami was preparing to play Baltimore, the
Ravens let slip that Anthony Wright would start at quarterback
rather than Chris Redman. That information was a big help to the
Dolphins, Wannstedt said.

There's a good chance receiver Oronde Gadsden will play,
Wannstedt said. Gadsden, who signed Wednesday, has been hampered by
injuries the past two years and hasn't played since Oct. 13, 2002.

Guard Jamie Nails (left ankle) will be inactive and Seth
McKinney will start for him. Guard Todd Perry (right elbow)
returned the practice and is expected to start.
