Gordon leaves team after uncle's death

BOSTON -- Chicago White Sox reliever Tom Gordon was not with
the team for Saturday night's game against Boston, having returned
home to Florida because of his uncle's death.

Gordon was expected to rejoin the White Sox in Minnesota on
Tuesday, after Monday's off day.

Gordon is 6-6 with a 3.25 ERA and 11 saves in 62 games this
season.
