Zags' center sidelined with a broken finger

SPOKANE, Wash. -- Gonzaga forward Richard Fox probably will
miss the rest of the regular season with a broken left finger.

The 6-foot-11, 275-pound junior hurt the ring finger on his
non-shooting hand in the Bulldogs' 73-49 victory over Saint Mary's
College on Thursday.

Bulldogs head trainer Steve DeLong said Friday that Fox doesn't
need surgery but will be sidelined for at least 3½ weeks.

Fox was averaging 6.8 points and 3.6 rebounds this season for
Gonzaga (18-6).

He was injured late in the first half Thursday when he jammed
his finger against another player. He left the game immediately,
was examined at halftime and did not return in the second half.
