McDyess won't start, but might play vs. Celtics

DENVER -- Denver Nuggets forward Antonio McDyess, who has
not yet played this season because of a knee injury, might return
to the lineup Tuesday night.

McDyess said it will be a game-time decision as to whether he
plays in the Nuggets' home game against Boston.

After practicing with the team for several weeks, McDyess hoped
to ready to play Tuesday night. But after practice Monday, he
wasn't sure he'd be able.

"It depends on how I feel before the game," said McDyess, who
had surgery Oct. 12 to repair a tendon in his left knee and minor
arthroscopic work on his right knee. "I still feel pain when I
stop or slow down. Otherwise I'm OK running and jumping. My
conditioning is not where it needs to be."

McDyess had ice on his knee after the Monday workout.

"I don't think he's there yet," coach Mike Evans said. "If he
does play, he won't start. He'll probably play in five- or
six-minute spurts."
