For San Francisco, linebacker Jamie Winborn (knee) and Julian Peterson (ankle) are both inactive. Running back Paul Smith is also inactive. For Atlanta, wide receiver Tony Martin is starting in place of Shawn Jefferson.
St. Louis at Philadelphia
Rams DE Grant Wistrom (knee) is inactive. For the Eagles, DB Troy Vincent (knee) will play.
Early games
Detroit at Green Bay
In a surprise move the Lions cut defensive end James Jones. Travis Kirschke will start. Also on the defensive line, Luther Ellis is not starting. Shaun Rogers will start in his place.
The Lions defensive backfield is missing several key players. Kurt Schulz (back), Bryant Westbrook (Achilles), Robert Bailey (ankle) and Ron Rice (toe) are all out.
Seattle at Cleveland
For Cleveland, rookie running back James Jackson gets the starting nod. Also starting, is rookie defensive tackle Gerard Warren.
Indianapolis at New York Jets
The Jets will start seventh-round pick James Reed at nose tackle.
Oakland at Kansas City
Raiders defensive tackle Roderick Coleman (pectoral) is inactive. Rookie Chris Cooper will start in his place. Also for the Raiders, wide receiver Jerry Porter (shoulder) is inactive.
Carolina at Minnesota
Rookie running back Michael Bennett is the starting halfback. Another rookie starter for the Vikings is linebacker Patrick Chukwurah.
Chicago at Baltimore
For the Ravens, CB Duane Starks (knee) is out. James Trapp will start in his place. Bears wide receiver Marcus Robinson is active, but he will not be in the starting lineup. Also from Baltimore, the Ravens cut tackle Erik Williams today, but they are expected to re-sign him Monday.
New England at Cincinnati
Defensively the Patriots will be without linebacker Ted Johnson (leg) and defensive tackle Richard Seymour. Rookie Jace Sayler will start in place of Seymour and Bryan Cox will start in place of Johnson.
