LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas teamed Saturday to win the United SportsCar Championship Series race at Long Beach.

It's the second consecutive win for the Chip Ganassi Racing team, which won the Twelve Hours of Sebring last month in a Ford EcoBoost Riley with Marino Franchitti in the lineup. The Sebring victory was the first for Ford's new engine and first since the manufacturer partnered with Ganassi this season.

It's the 58th career victory for Pruett and 29th for Rojas. All of Rojas' victories are with Pruett.

Ricky Taylor and Jordan Taylor finished second for Wayne Taylor Racing, and Joao Barbosa and Christian Fittipaldi were third for Action Express Racing as Chevrolets completed the podium.

Jan Magnussen and Antonio Garcia teamed to win the GTLM class. They are the defending American Le Mans Series GT champions, and Saturday's win was the first for the new Corvette C7.R.

After two endurance races to open the new IMSA-sanctioned series, which combined Grand-AM and ALMS, Saturday's event was just 100 minutes and featured only the top two of the four classes. It meant there were only 21 cars in the race, a much more manageable number after two races that were plagued with numerous cautions and long yellow periods.

Saturday went caution-free, the first race to do so since the ALMS race at Circuit of America's last September.

TUSC is next on track next month at Laguna Seca. The Prototype and GTLM classes will run in one two-hour race, and the PC and GTD classes will run a separate race.
