DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- For a driver who's just had his biggest win marred and his Nationwide points lead taken away by a NASCAR penalty, Austin Dillon was in a bubbly sort of so-what mood Thursday."I...

Knowing you are under the microscope how in the world can you not dot all your i's and cross all your t's before making a qualifying run? It will be interesting to see Dillon drive through the pack, but I won't be looking forward to the comparisons to "the 3 car moving through the pack looking like Earnhardt" tonight.

The" mistakes" continue for the # 3 and RCR. Pole position taken away today. Keeps the pole award but will start at back of field tonight.

Man, with the intelligence on this board I'm hoping most of you aren't NASCAR fans and just trolls. Austin and his brother may have born with "pocket aces," but they're making the best of it. They seem to be good kids who can drive very well. I am a fan of both him and Ty. I look forward to watching them both in the coming years.

Representing the number 3 so well Austin. Don't really like this kid and what a joke that NASCAR allows a dominating car to still get the glory of the win and only dock him a few points. I think if the car is illegal, the win should be taken away and given to the second place car. I think teams would think a little bit harder about deliberately cheating.

Yes, I heard reports that it actually hurt the performance of the car as well.

Cheaters do win. Ask Chad Knaus.

If reported correctly, Dillon's statement that an appeal won't be sought makes it appear that he admits it was not unplanned. Followed by "It was our mulligan (sp)" seems to also admit that it was cheating and they got caught. This "nice" kid will sure make a great example as a champion some day. Oh, brother!

What would happen if this Nationwide season ends with Dillon in a tie just like last years Cup series did and the winner of the championship is determined with the same tie breaker rule they used for Cup? The most "wins" gets the glory. Would that be fair given the tainted win at Kentucky? Not to me. I think NASCAR really needs to get a better handle on declaring winners when any infraction is found during post race inspections. Is that so unreasonable?

so you can't cheat to get to first but you can cheat to get to second? interesting. If someone isn't concerned about a penalty then the penalty isn't enough.

Cheaters are stupid, people who don't cheat are smart? Then they lose.

Don't be stupid.

lol "We thought we had the problems fixed [after Sadler's penalty]," Dillon said, "and we just made a mistake and didn't put the new-style fix on the back of the car." Kid learns quick

This kid can grow on you. Never a Childress fan but could be a fan of Austin.
