Noticed most of the comments are making fun of Nascar fans. How ignorant we are, people got hurt and lets make fun of the Nascar fans. 81 Days ago

Everytime we have restrictor plate racing it turns into a demolition derby. I do not like restrictor plate racing its nothing but a demolition derby waiting to happen. If this would have been regular racing the odds are it would not had happened. 81 Days ago

I'm going to comment on Nationwide and the NASCAR truck series continuing to allow seasoned Sprint Cup series drivers to race in feeder series, such as the Nationwide and the trucks. When you have cup drivers racing in these series they have nothing to race for except to win.
If you a series regular, you will not kamikaze to reach the front because of points, the cup drivers can't drive for points. This is just one reason I think they (Cup drivers) should be banned from the truck series and very limited to how many races they can run in the Nationwide.
I'm embarrassed that we NASCAR is the only sport that allows it's major league's best compete against the minor leagues (Nationwide and Truck series.
If you are a race fan a want to see the cup drivers go to the track on Sunday! It sure looks as though they need more fans in the stands! Let Nationwide and trucks be a development series for Cup racing. 82 Days ago

It is unfortunate for those fans what happened. Spend all that money on a race to get a trip to the hospital/receive medical treatment. Had they not had restrictor plates/tapered spacers, this wreck could have likely still happened, but the chances are much smaller because the cars would be much less likely to be so close to one another. They should do what Dale Sr. said: put the grandstands on the inside, remove the restrictor plates, and let them race. 83 Days ago

Amazing to see this fan's footage showing the chaotic scene in the grandstands immediately following the crash. That tire looks huge from up close. http://www.onehotlap.com/2013/02/nascar-crash-at-daytonaa-200-mph.html 83 Days ago

Automobile racing is unsafe at any speed that is a fact that history has taught us repeatedly in the past. When you go to a race as a spectator your life is the line just as much as a driver that is in the race plain and simple really. 83 Days ago
