BUDAPEST, Hungary -- Lewis Hamilton won the Hungarian Grand Prix on Sunday, prolonging McLaren's dominance on the slow and winding Hungaroring circuit.Hamilton completed Sunday's race in 1 hour, 41 ... Read full story
Awesome win for Lewis. Glad he was able to hold on. My favorite driver other than Heikki. Kinda down on caterham, hopefully they can come up with something special over the break. I was hoping they'd be able to catch the Toro Rosso's in qualifying and it looked like early in Q1 that they might of, but they probably ran their options first b/c Toro Rosso pulled away during their second run of Q1. Depressed that they haven't been able to get higher, but hopefully McLaren can keep it going and get Lewis some more victories and get Jenson turned around. 297 Days ago

Nice to see F1 head into the midseason break with a thrilling race at the always-exciting Hungaroring. Why couldn't Indycar do Mid-Ohio today? We could have had the world's 3 most boring races of the year all on the same day. 298 Days ago

I predict Kimi will win next race which is at Spa, probably his best track. 298 Days ago

kimi must put his renault on pole to have a shot. they just keep coming up short. 298 Days ago

Lewis has been best in qualys thus far. 4 poles & 4 2nd's out of 11 races. Even Grosjean has been quicker than Kimi in qualys. 298 Days ago

he doesn't have to be on pole at Spa, just needs to start from the first two rows. 298 Days ago

I wonder if gianmani will get on here and tell us how Lewis Hamilton is overrated, like he did last weekend. 298 Days ago

Lewis has to win the next race to even think about having a shot at the championship. Great win today 298 Days ago

Another great win by Lewis. Led from tip to tip despite the Lotus cars being faster. I think WDC is already wrapped up by Alonso b/c he's built up a big lead & all he has to do now is finish races, but a great battle for 2nd in the overall.
Schumi needs to retire ASAP. He should never have come back, an utter embarrassment now. 298 Days ago

The troll above is just a Schumacher hater, pure and simple. Uses the less than stellar success of the Mercedes team to justify his Sch. hating. Stupid. 297 Days ago
Peter3375
Yeah, Schumi had himself a senior moment there. Schumi had another senior moment speeding on pit lane & was penalized. 296 Days ago

speedtv has a article that schumi lined up in the wrong grid spot and caused the waive off in hungary. all the back markers knew they were in the wrong spot. wtf??? 296 Days ago
mikehal122
he may have a win IF he was in a mclaren or red bull. those cars are the best and can overcome a few mistakes. but mercedes needs the perfect practice, qually and race to win (or massive attrition). rosberg got that out of his car and schumi has not. he hasn't been close. schumi's skill will only decline but a young talent is a much better choice for a number 2. he brings alot in sponsorship but they pay him alot. he had his chance as this car was built for him and the results have been dismal. 296 Days ago

I disagree that Schumi would have a couple wins in a McLaren or Red Bull. Wins are simply not that easy. Schumi has not had a race win in 6 years & he's embarassingly bad now! 297 Days ago

The point here is though that he is driving well and he is catching bad breaks in a car that is not as promised. The car has not held up and he has had 5 car failures in 11 races and 1 incident that he admittedly caused. I understand that you think someone younger should fill his spot, but he has also earned the right to say when he is done, especially since he is driving well enough to make that call on his own. There is no one in the lower ranks that will bring the sponsorship he does and I doubt anyone could drive the car better than him. If he is in a Mclaren or a Red Bull this year he would have a couple wins. 297 Days ago

No, I'm not a Schumacher hater. I'm just a realist. I know he had 7 WDC's in his time & he's also a really nice guy. But the last time he won WDC was 8 YEARS AGO and he's not gonna win again. It's time to move over & give other young driver's a chance in F1 now! 297 Days ago

probably just got sick and tired of him winning and still can't let go 297 Days ago

Going to have to agree with cjaulby here... Schumi's driving has nothing to do with gearbox failure, bad pit work, fuel pump failure, or hydraulic failure.
Not really justified to fire drivers for bad luck unless you're Helmut Marko I suppose. 298 Days ago

Yes, reliable car, Schumi has 6 retirements in 11 races and only 1 of those was due to a mistake on his part. He qualified 4th in one of those races and 2nd in another. Rosberg has 0 retirements and only 1 more podium than Schumi. If Schumi had a car that complete at least 1 out of every 2 races it would be nice. Hard to really say that Schumi should retire. He is driving just fine. 298 Days ago

Schumi was winning races for Benetton when he was Rosberg's age? I know but this is besides the point. I realize that Shumacher won 7 WDC's before & he's also a really nice guy. But the last time he won WDC was 8 YEARS AGO and he's not gonna win again. It's time to move over & give other young driver's a chance in F1 now.
If Rosberg is the most overrated driver in F1, what is Schumacher then?

I think being called a moron by you would be a compliment because that probably means you're in the right.
Rosberg is the most overrated driver in F1, been saying that for years. Schumi was winning races for Benetton when he was Rosberg's age. 297 Days ago

MERCEDES WILL NOT BUILD HIM ANOTHER CAR! He kept crashing into everything in sight, he was driving worse than Maldonado. Wooo, Schumi has 1 podium...Am I supposed to be impressed? His teammate Rosberg has 2 podiums and a race win! His cars won't hold up b/c he's now a terrible driver. No, Mercedes will not invite him back, as there are plenty of good, young drivers without seats right now that must be given opportunities.
BOTTOM LINE: ROSBERG-77pts, SCHUMI-29 pts
And I don't want to hear any more of your Schumi excuses. Schumi can go find something else to do after this year besides driving F1 cars. You are the most thick-headed creature that I know. Why don't you finish your high school special education before posting here again? 297 Days ago

HE DID NOT BUILD THE CAR. Him being 43 years old does not cause the mechanical problems. He has a podium this year and has run well. You must not understand racing, because if you did you would see that he has run pretty well, but the car has not held up. Look at today, he was having transmission problems before the race even began.

God, you really are an absolute moron. Schumi's 43 y.o. & he's not even close the leaders. He's getting worse every year. Give it up and give other young up-n-comers a chance to race for a great Mercedes team in F1! 298 Days ago

Man you are dense. There is only 1 retirement combined between Massa and Button, they have had rough years. Mass has been slow ever since his big incident at Hungary and Button has driven either really well or horribly. Schumi has driven quite consistently, but it is his team that has let him down. Those two are not comparable to Schumi because they have not had the reliability issues he has. 298 Days ago
Peter3375
ohhh please...according to your logic, Massa & Button are also driving just fine! 298 Days ago
mikehal122
reliable car? rosberg is 6th in points. schumi should walk and save brawn the trouble in dissmissing him. mercedes would be fighting for top 3 in constructors if they had a quality #2. 298 Days ago
cjaulby
So, Schumi, who has a podium this year is an utter embarrassment? Why, because Mercedes has had the worst reliability in Formula 1 this season? Nico isn't exactly setting the world on fire in that car either. Schumi has been driving just fine, but Ross Brawn hasn't built a competitive enough car this year and the updates haven't helped much either. 298 Days ago
