The Detroit Red Wings avoided arbitration with goalie Petr Mrazek, with the two sides agreeing to a two-year contract Wednesday morning.
According to an NHL source, the deal is worth $8 million -- $3.85 million the first year and $4.15 million the second.
Mrazek, 24, finished with a 27-16-3 record last season with a .921 save percentage.
Mrazek and the Red Wings had an arbitration hearing scheduled for Wednesday morning.
