Stanley Cup makes appearance at Oakmont for U.S. Open

Pittsburgh Penguins

Oakmont Country Club, home of this year's U.S. Open, is in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, home of the Stanley Cup champion Penguins. One day after the team celebrated its fourth Stanley Cup, the iconic trophy spent a few hours at the year's second golf major.

Thanks to a handful of weather delays on Thursday, many of the golfers got to hang out with the Cup in the clubhouse while waiting to get back on the course.

A few of the Penguins also got to spend time at Oakmont, including two-thirds of the HBK Line: Phil Kessel and Nick Bonino, who had a great selfie as Jordan Spieth walked the course.

With the stormy weather plaguing play on Thursday, it appears that the Stanley Cup ended up being the big winner for the day.
