Jagr, Dupuis, Zuccarello are Masterton finalists

NEW YORK -- Florida's Jaromir Jagr, Pittsburgh's Pascal Dupuis and the New York Rangers' Mats Zuccarello are the finalists for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy as the NHL player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey.

The local chapters of the Professional Hockey Writers Association submitted nominations at the end of the for regular season, with the top three designated as finalists Sunday. The winner will be announced June 22 at the NHL Awards in Las Vegas.

The 44-year-old Jagr had 27 goals and 39 assists to become the oldest player in NHL history to surpass the 60-point plateau.

Dupuis rejoined the Penguins after nearly a year of rehabilitation, training, medical testing and monitoring in caring for multiple injuries and blood clot concerns. He appeared in 18 games before a pair of medical scares convinced him to retire.

Zuccarello had 26 goals and 35 assists.
