Devils' Cory Schneider out at least 2 weeks with knee injury

NHL, New Jersey Devils, Pittsburgh Penguins

NEWARK, N.J. -- New Jersey Devils All-Star goaltender Cory Schneider will be sidelined at least two weeks with a sprained right knee.

Coach John Hynes says after the Devils' 6-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday that doctors say Schneider has a Grade 1 sprain and the goaltender will be evaluated again in two weeks.

Schneider was hurt Friday night in the third period against Dallas. He has posted a 26-23-6 record with four shutouts and a .923 save percentage.

Keith Kincaid made 24 saves for New Jersey on Sunday. Yann Danis was recalled from Albany of the AHL to serve as his backup.
