On Sunday, Pavel Datsyuk became the sixth player in Detroit Red Wings history to reach the 900-point milestone. He scored two goals and added an assist against the Boston Bruins in the Red Wings' 6-5 victory.
Datsyuk credited the teammates he has played with for enabling him to reach the milestone.
"Lots of helping and supporting and lots of teaching me too,'' he said. "Lots of giving me advice. I appreciate for all of them.''
The other Red Wings to reach the 900-point milestone are Gordie Howe (1,809 points), Steve Yzerman (1,755), Alex Delvecchio (1,281), Nicklas Lidstrom (1,142) and Sergei Fedorov (954). All have been inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
The 37-year-old Datsyuk, who entered Sunday's game needing one point to reach the milestone, scored both his goals against the Bruins on power plays. He was credited with an assist on Henrik Zetterberg's game-winning goal, which brought his point total to 902.
"I feel pretty fortunate to be on the bench when he gets his 900th. He's a special, special athlete,'' Detroit coach Jeff Blashill said. "He's an absolute winner.''
