With the NHL trade deadline looming Feb. 29, Hockey Prospectus is previewing this season's mad scramble with a look at every team's status as buyer or seller, potential trade targets and top assets to sell.

It took a while, but the contenders are finally starting to separate themselves in the Pacific Division, as we thought they should line up from the get go.

The recent emergence of the Anaheim Ducks, who have won eight of their past 10, has made the picture pretty clear: The Los Angeles Kings, San Jose Sharks and Ducks will be going for it, while the rest of the division holds steady or sells.
