Defenseman Andrej Sekera is leaving the Los Angeles Kings, agreeing Wednesday to a six-year deal with the Edmonton Oilers.
The contract is worth $33 million, a source told ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun.
The Oilers also agreed to a three-year deal with center Mark Letestu, who had 13 points in 54 games for the Columbus Blue Jackets last season.
Sekera was acquired by the Kings from the Carolina Hurricanes in a February trade that netted Carolina prospect Roland McKeown and a first-round pick in the 2016 draft.
The 29-year-old defenseman scored one goal with three assists and a plus-4 rating in 16 games after the trade for the Kings, who missed the playoffs, falling four points shy of a wild-card berth.
Last season he completed a four-year, $11 million contract he had signed with the Buffalo Sabres in 2011. The Sabres traded him to the Hurricanes in 2013.
In nine seasons he has 31 goals, 128 assists and a plus-7 rating in 486 games.
