Wild re-sign forward Mikael Granlund

The Minnesota Wild kicked off free agency by re-signing Finnish forward Mikael Granlund to a two-year deal.

According to ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun, the deal is worth $6 million in total, $2.8 million in Year 1 and $3.2 million in Year 2.

Granlund, a ninth overall pick in the 2010 draft, had eight goals and 39 points in 68 games for the Wild this season.

Before the free agency period opened at noon on Wednesday, the Wild announced they had inked free-agent defenseman Mike Reilly to a two-way entry-level deal.
